Q : Is it cheaper to turret punch, router cut or laser cut parts?
A : Each job needs to be assessed for the most appropriate method. Generally, Turret Punching is more economical in large panels when many regular shaped holes are required. Very detailed cutouts, especially in heavier materials are often better suited to laser cutting. Router cutting is especially suited to Aluminium (especially plastic coated reflective grades), many plastics and timber products such as MDF.

Q : Which method is the most accurate?
A : Modern equipment is accurate to within +/-.1mm or better. Our Nishinbo Turret can often work to +/-.05mm accuracy. The Multicam Router is of similar accuracy.

Q : Is it possible to get parts made without surface marking?
We can Router Cut even highly reflective Aluminium for high-performance reflectors with any surface marking. Many materials can also be cut without protective plastic coatings in place to keep surfaces free of blemishes.

Q : In the past, turret punching of curved edges has left a low-quality surface. Is this still the case?
A : Our Wilson Wheel® technology cuts materials to 1.2mm thickness with a guillotine quality edge by using a continuous rolling shear process. Minimum radius is 100mm on curves and circles.

Q :Can you work from emailed drawings?
We use all of your common file formats; drastically reducing programming time and ensuring parts are cut exactly as drawn.

Q : Do you supply material or do we?
A : We are able to use our volume buying capacity to purchase materials at very competitive prices. Where we supply material, it is our responsibility to make sure the material quality is suitable. We can also use your material if preferred.

Q : How much does a job cost?
A : Costs are calculated according to materials, amount of processing and design time if required. We can provide Proposals from sketches, drawings or samples.

Q : Can you make a single item?
A : We do offer a Prototyping Service. We are very experienced at medium to large volume production of either components or complete products, where we offer excellent service and value for money.
